Summer Camps

This camp is for players 8 years old and under.  A true foundational skill development camp.  Proper body position, skating, inside and outside edge control, balance, forward and backward stride development will all be covered.  Puck skills and shooting technique will be covered as well.  This is a great camp for young players to secure a strong foundation developing their skills and having fun.

$50 Deposit $275 Final Camp Payment

This camp will teach players how to properly shoot the puck with velocity and accuracy.  The wrist shot, snapshot, slap shot and backhander will be covered.  A player’s ability to identify the target and shoot with their head up, while changing shooting angles and shooting to score while driving their feet through every shot will be covered.

Players will gain the skills necessary to transition to the bantam level.  Players will receive instruction on the proper approach to body contact and puck control.  Receiving a check, giving a check and the ability to properly angle an opposing player is the focus.  These skills are all taught in a controlled environment which will help players build confidence.  Puck control is also heavily focused on here so players play Heads Up Hockey!!!

Battle Games Camp is all about winning and protecting a puck in small areas.  The Hockey Hut Staff has developed a Small area skills and games program to teach these tight area skills.  This camp is a  competitive environment and will focus on the grit it takes to win every battle during game play.

At Defenseman camp you’ll learn positional skills and tactics, including defensive and offensive skills to gain the extra edge in game situations. All aspects of skating will be taught.  Backwards skating, pivoting effectively, Transition skating as well as puck handling, and shooting will also be a main focus. Reading game cues, “when to jump up”, when to close space etc. will be broken down for the players.  Every ice session will focus on the responsibilities of the defenseman in all 3 zones.  This camp will help each player understand their specific position and build confidence in the decision making process.

This camp will help teach you the art of scoring goals and playing an offensive game from any position. Drills will focus on shooting, dekes, patience in front of the net, and goal scoring areas around the net.  Changing shooting angles, and forcing goalies to move through shooter deception will be covered.

Our All skills camp will be a combination of Power Skating, Stick Handling, Shooting, and Battle Work! This is a progressive program to teach players to play with their heads up, how to properly shoot the puck, and give them Small area skills and games in a competitive environment!

This is a progressive program to teach players to play with their heads up. It will help advance their puck control and the speed at which they handle the puck.  On ice and off ice, players will have a puck on their stick all week.  Puck confidence and the ability to play at high rates of speed while expanding their on ice vision and playmaking abilities is the goal
