Beginner Classes – New to Hockey
Hockey Hut’s beginner skating classes offer a fun and relaxed environment for players interested in starting skating and playing hockey.
Each level progressively introduces skills so they are mastered at your own pace.
Hockey Tots
Hockey Tots is the easiest way to introduce your child to the great sport of ice hockey in a safe, controlled environment! This 6 session program is a great way to enhance their balance, hand-eye coordination, and overall athletic motor skills while on the ice. In this class we start the first 3 weeks on boots or sneakers to get the players acclimated to the environment and our coaches. For these 3 weeks you will need: Shoes with good traction, Helmet, Warm clothing, and gloves. The second 3 weeks of this program will be their first on skates (we do not rent skates at The Hut) for these 3 weeks they will need: Skates, Helmet, Warm clothing, and gloves. Though they are not needed we do recommend having some form of elbow and knee pads.
If you have never taken lessons before, we recommend that you take this class first.
